ENINA

Enina is situated 3 km from the main road to the National Park Shipka Museum. The village is positioned in the middle of a picturesque oak forest. Here was one of the earliest old Bulgarian manuscripts known as the Eninsky Apostle. It was discovered during the restoration of an old church.

Enina is also near the ancient capital of the Odrinsko Kingdom – Sevthopolis and is not far from the famous Thracian tomb in the town of Kazanlak.

Kamushtitsa is a nature reserve situated in a gorge near Enina. The place has preserved rare plants and animals, including brown bears, one of the old inhabitants of the middle Stara Planina Mountain. Eninska River passes through the village and helps run a local hydroelectric power plant and produces green energy.

Enina has a population of 2397.
