Aresgas is owned by the Italian Gruppo HERA, which provides multi-utility services including waste management, water, and energy services.

Since 2001 Aresgas holds all appropriate licenses by the State Energy and Water Regulatory Committee for natural gas distribution within the municipalities of Dobrich and Targovishte.
In 2004 the company won the tender and was granted a 35-year-long license for distribution and delivery of natural gas in the regions of Dobrudzha and Mizia.
The structure of “Aresgas” AD comprises the head office in the city of Varna and local offices in the towns of Dobrich, Targovishte, Shumen, Pleven, Provadia, Beloslav, and Lukovit.
“Aresgas” AD has built gas mains of more than 354 000 meters total length.
